I’m Niall Sheffield, a photographer based in Godalming, Surrey.
Most of what I shoot is landscape. I’m usually out early or late, on the heath, in the woods or down by the water, because that’s when the light is worth getting up for. It’s the work I started with and the work I care about most.
I also photograph Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which is about as far from a quiet landscape as you can get. I like the pace of it, and the challenge of catching a good moment when everything is moving fast.
