I’m Niall Sheffield, a photographer based in Godalming, Surrey.
Most of my photography happens at the quiet ends of the day — out on the heath, in the woods, or beside still water, waiting for the light to do something worth keeping. Landscapes are where I started and still where I feel most at home.
Away from all that stillness, I also photograph Brazilian jiu-jitsu — trading big skies for the noise and intensity of competition. Different worlds, but the same instinct: catching the moment that’s worth slowing down for.
